Sidestepping fullbacks who stand flatfooted with pained expressions on their faces witnessing the try they couldn’t stop. And occasionally you get the Lomus and Mordts. Monster wings that do the business with sheer power and strength.

Probe approved, Rustenburg remains

New SARU president, Regan Hoskins, has made the first two decisions of his presidency. Brian van Rooyen will be probed and Rustenburg will retain their 2006 test against the All Blacks. Furthermore, Hoskins will be seeking to meet with the Spears to get a more indepth briefing.

RELEGATION, RUSTENBURG TEST TO BE REVISITED Newly elected Saru president Regan Hoskins was “shocked and stunned” when he was told how Brian van Rooyen tried to bribe his way to hang on to the presidency. Regan Hoskins’ best quality is that he probably is the reluctant president; a decent man who’d really rather have backed an alternative candidate. He also got off to a good start by making no promises in the run-up to the election.

The battle of the captains, is the best way to describe the battle that took place in the early hours South African time on Saturday. In probably the most entertaining game of the weekend the Sharks could just not hold on to their lead and lost to the Crusaders in the last minutes.
