Berrick Barnes provides a World Cup fairytale

Thank goodness for Berrick Barnes injecting a football fairytale into the World Cup. Pity the Wallabies bombed like the ugly stepsisters at the grand ball. In the end it was left to flying Springbok winger Bryan Habana to emerge as undoubtedly world rugby’s No. 1 player for 2007.

Growing up in the 1960s, one was very familiar with a substance that was a relatively cheap method for painting walls and the like. It was called whitewash, and 40 years on it’s great to see it is in abundant supply out Lansdowne Road way.
