SA vs Australia – 4th ODI

January 26, 2009
Posted by Deon

The Proteas face up to the Aussies in Adelaide leading the series 2 – 1.

Ponting won the toss and elected to bat on a good pitch.  Anything shy of 300 will probably not be enough following the way the Proteas have been chasing in this series.

Steyn first ball slighty to Marsh’ leg side. He glance and gets four for his efforts. Not a good first over. 7 runs including a wide.

Steyn again goes slightly to leg and MArsh picks the four square to leg.

2nd ball Steyn goes wide and Marsh slots the four through the offside.

MArsh goes after another wide one from Steyn. Caught at 3rd man. Very good catch coming forward by Morne Morkel.

    17 / 2 – 3 overs gone.

nah Boer i think oz won the ODI series.
Was a B&H series with WI and Pakistan.
2-2 all in the group stages, but oz then won both final games, score 4-2 to oz.

dont think any side have beaten oz in both forms in the same series – maybe windies in 80s or Bothams England, but i dont think do.
