Steyn kan op losskakel begin met Ryan Kankowski en Andries Bekker wat ook sal uitdraf.

Of dit ’n terugkeer vir skrumskakel Ricky Januarie gaan beteken, is ’n minder opwindende vooruitsig.

John Smit, Springbok-kaptein, het ná die toets verwys na die “nodige momentum� wat opgebou moet word vir die Drienasies-reeks einde volgende maand, maar ook aangedui dat genoeg speelkans vir ander aanspraakmakers ewe belangrik is.

    Suppose if he drops Adi he
    will have to bring Ralepelle
    in to keep the “balance”.

    Changes I would like to see…

    Schalk, Bakkies, Danie and Jean out injured or banned.

    Play Juan Smith at 4, bring Potgieter in to cover for Brussow from the bench, play Vermeulen at 7.

    Bring in Meisiekind, give Steyn a start and bring in Mossie.

    Rest Ruan and Adi. Bismarck also given a bit of a slap/rest.

    With backrow players like Vermeulen, Deysel, Potgieter, Mbiyozo (I thought he was awesome in the Kings game) knocking on the door… Juan, Spies, Brussouw and other will have to keep their socks up! Great depth!
    Real problem though is back-up at lock! IMO Juan may just need to move back to lock again. BUT we need another Bakkies!!! Maybe a Deysel to fill that role?

    I would like to give Kanko a go but IMO maybe we should stick with continuity and get hardened for the 3N!
    Make min of changes for test 3.
    Only bring in Mossie for Adi and Chillyboy for Bismark (to kee the Balance)

    Loosies – will probably be – 6 PK – 7 – Juan

    Brussow will come of the bench again – as this weekend the bench won the game for them… :whistling:

    I just made the point that not one of the four is a Bok4, ea a replacement for baKKies!

    BaRRing PK the only othe option is muLLer- and if you can remember that even before the tour started I rOOTed for muLLer to at least start the first test- and to travel as back-up – whatever in the team.
