Reply to Morné @ 9:48 pm: Maybe make it one round with 10 teams playing then 9 weeks in round stages and a semi and a Final that gives us 11 weeks of CC rugby. If we start in the last week of August we should finish in the First week of Nov if they can shuffle that the Tri Nations stop in the second last week in August all Springboks will be playing in CC and make it the force it is suppose to be.

However, I believe the CC needs to be made strong again in SA because, as bunny stated in his arti, CC rugby is what SA rugby is built around – it is our cornerstone.

Very cool article but I somewhat disagree.

The CC has been replaced by a stronger competition and therefore cannot really be the main prize.

I would rather the cheetahs not make a CC semi and win the Super 14! Even as a kid I liked the Lion Cup more!

Imagine how much more talent we will explore if the Vodacom Cup can be replaced by a real ‘cup’ competition?
