Bulls scrum-half Heini Adams has signed with French second division club L’Union Bordeaux-Bègles.

Adams, who toured with the Springboks in November 2009, was part of the Bulls Super 14 winning squad and will now continue his career in the ProD2.
Bordeaux finished the season ninth in the sixteen team competition.
At 30 years of age, a move overseas no doubt signals the end of his Springbok ambitions.
Meanwhile, Blue Bulls full-back Tiger Mangweni has been released to join the Eastern Province Elephants for the remainder of the season.
Mangweni’s contract with the Blue Bulls Company expires at the end of the current season and he will probably play his rugby in Port Elizabeth
The 30-year-old played one game for the Bulls in Super 14 in 2010 and excelled for the Vodacom Cup side who won the competition this year.
Mangweni has scored 331 points in first class rugby in a career that included games for Border Bulldogs, Griquas, Blue Bulls, Stormers, Cheetahs and the Bulls. He also played for SA A and the Southern Kings.

Good decision by Adams… bad one by Mangweni… the latter is far better than the Elephants and could still make another S14 unions starting 22 or go OS and make some life-changing dosh in the next 2 seasons…
