    fokol backbone.

I did however realise one thing. We moan about kiwis but lost to Oz in even worse fashion.

Yes the kiwis are not as good as they think. They dont really inspire me either.

Still the Ozzies will be the biggest threat come 2011 if Boks dont recover.

    Ja, no backbone whatsoever.
Just glanced over a few wrong
    decisions.
This is why I never watch B@A.
    The whole controversy surrounding
    Snor, Rolland etc. was just
    mention in passing.
    Cheapskate programme.

Really fukcing annoying that we have no ‘honest’ TV in SA. Guys on Top Gear take the piss out of their own government more than any show here, even comedy ones?

    Political correctness is Kak!

Two of the last posts i read on Do we live in Looneyland.

Emmett, thanks for discussing the wrong argument. The fact that when we do it we get penalised BY THE REF, when NZ do it THE REF lets it go. So you points, as politically correct as they are don’t belong on this discussion board. We are not discussing players cheating and getting away with it, the discussion is around biased refs. Tony, you obviously didn’t watch Reunion when the Bulls won the Super 14, not quite the same comments as when NZ are winning now.

If you understand sport in general you will know rules are there to make a game as fair as possible letting the best team on the day win. However, a biased ref can have a huge impact on a teams performance. So many times in this TriNations,NZ have illegaly killed the ball or used hands in the ruck and somehow have won the penalty driving SA back 40m and having to defend from a set piece. Refs decisions can shift the momentum in a game, and their decisions this year have influenced the game way more than any person. Thats Wrong!

Saru is perhaps the best example of a PC organisation.

Not man, not woman, but hermaphrodite, without balls.

Enough with the ‘Cheats’ tag, its just a nonsensical position. Any Springbok, All Black or Wallaby will get away with what they can and always have. If my guy does it he’s a ‘smart professional’ , if the other guy does it he’s a ‘dirty cheat’. Victor Matfield’s brain works the same way as Richie McCaw’s brain, which works the same way as Rocky Elsom’s brain, and they all do the same thing – some are better at it, some are worse.

    Two possibilities exist:
    1) There are some fundamental problems with Boks which need work to find that extra 5% to get back to being competitive with the best teams
    2) The whole world hates South Africa more than anyone else and is actively dedicated to seeing them fail by any means necessary

How many of us with a shred of perspective honestly and sincerely believe in option 2? Paddy O’Brien is a real live person with better things to think about on his weekend than how to shaft SA rugby

The near perfect game of the All Blacks was exposed a bit over the last few days.

    Bob Dwyer you were right.

The whole week i tried to get someone on R-T to answer me on the first AB try. Tonight on Re-Union they at last answered me, the first try was according to them “fortunate”. Yes what i saw in a flash moment was true, the try by Carter was no try. The ball rebound from Carter to Nonu behind him and then forward, so it was in fact a penalty to AUS>

we need to address both 1 and 2 if we are to get back on top.

Jake made a big point of changing world perceprion about is. We won 2007 and no-one really begrudged us that win because were were full of humility, grace and professionalism.

Peter taks a good game about jesus and being role models but the boks have a certain arrogance about them that we did not have in 2007.

    Dik trille.

Yes we won last year, but we did not win friends.

yes Ab’s in cloud 9 about to fall again. They never played for longer than 60 minutes against 15 men, in 3 games!

Not to mention the ball ‘bouncing’ for them as far as refs calls go.

Funny, we were that same team last year. But the house always falls if not built on a sturdy and humble foundation.

We do have a lot of work to do, but if the playing field is not level we will still lose. Hope the refs can learn from this controversy.

I am out now have a nice day

yes but why is playing field not level all off a sudden?

if SARU plays this right it can be a huge advantage to us next year. make refs a bit conscious not to bee too hard on us.

But the way we handle it now makes them hate us even more.

Loads of pressure in the IRB boardroom is the way to go.not media hype and tantrums

@BokRav – ja, ek gaan lekker lag toe O’Brian die slagoffer is waneer die IRB erken dat die ABs ‘preferential treatment’ gekry het. Hy’s a dwaas en verdien dit.

    Bullshit

IRB will just ignore it the way they always have.

    Watch what O’ Neill does

    Watch what NZ does

The correct way is sustained board room pressure by seasoned hardcore board room warriors (not that wasted vaginal discharge Marinos or limp dicked Hoskins)… what you need is a concerted media campaign against the referees, a supportive public and the sustained.

    You need both.

Tantrums and diplomacy and media hounds…

Our media should make a point of going on the offensive against the refs and the IRB while the SARU limpdicks do their bit behind the scenes. Fly out to Londion and demand meetings with NoBrain and if he does not call an IRB meeting or SANZAR board meeeting and start handing out threats.
