Western Province coach Allister Coetzee as suspected gave Lionel Cronje the number 10 jersey for this weekend’s must-win fixture against the Leopards at Newlands.
Coetzee who was widely questioned with De Waal’s continued selection at pivot has finally handed the jersey over to Cronje who is widely tipped as one of the more exciting prospects in this position within the WP ranks.
Other changes see some Springboks slotting straight back into the team with Gio Aplon, Jean de Villiers and Juan de Jongh coming into the backline.
Another interesting selection is Conrad Hoffmann at fullback with Conrad Jantjes shifted to wing in place of injured Frikkie Welsh.
Nick Koster is also back in the run-on 15 after recovering from and elbow injury he suffered last week.

Good team. Only needs a playmaker at 12 and for Jean to play wing instead of Jantjies.
Add Hougaard as a 9 to this team and you can go places.
