Wynand Olivier renewed his contract with the Blue Bulls Company and will be available for the Vodacom Bulls and Blue Bulls till the end of 2013.
Olivier’s signature follows on extensions signed by Springbok flanker Deon Stegmann, winger Gerhard van den Heever and midfielder Stefan Watermeyer earlier in the month.
The midfielder indicated that he considered offers from abroad, but confirmed his loyalty to the union he started representing as a school boy.
“We will be going through bit of a rebuilding phase next year, so I am keen to stick around and help to ease the transition. I am enjoying my rugby at the Bulls and wants to be part of a successful team as well,” Olivier said.
Coach Frans Ludeke welcomed the news.
“He is a world class player and a Bulls player to the core. It is great to plan for the future knowing a proven champion like Wynand will be around.”

Reply to pietploos @ 5:15 pm: Ja I always rated Potties above stegmann, Stegmann is playing outside the rules and then he get’s pissed off when the ref blows him up – maybe he does not understand the rules??

Stegman was also a Springbok quite deservedly last year…
He needs to adapt his play a bit.
But I agree with Piet on the respect that neither of Stegman or Potgieter are future Bok material.
