New Zealand media report that a Rugby World Cup match between Samoa and South Africa has sold out after the Samoans’ historic 32-23 win over Australia on Sunday.Sport24

The New Zealand Herald quoted a spokeswoman for World Cup organizers as saying demand for tickets to the September 30 match at Auckland’s North Harbour Stadium had increased rapidly since Sunday’s match in Sydney and all tickets had now been sold.

The spokeswoman said “there’s been an increase in demand to Samoa matches since the result. Samoa-Fiji and Samoa-Wales are also both selling really well.”

The Samoa-Springboks match is only the fourth World Cup match to sell out so far after the tournament final and matches between New Zealand and France and France and Canada.

    Expectation.

A win against the B side of a team that hates physicality and now suddenly they’re a threat to the Bokke?

    Ja right…

That will last as long as the first ruck where the Samoans realize “Ooooopppssss…. big mistake….. the Boere like to get in your face…. like…. it’s their game that they invented…. we wanna go home to Mamma…”

I’d like to see some Samoan “get physical” with Bakkies Botha or Danie Rossouw or Schalk Burger…. sorry Samoa… getting physical is OUR game… do it and the Bokke will love you for being sporting enough to take them on at their own game…

But beat the Bokke? I don’t think so…

too bad all those names are few minutes away from bing over the hill and defenitly not as hungry as they were the last time around – like the old lion in the kraal….

    ripe for the picking.

Not by Samoa mind you. Its Ireland we have to worry about.

    BUT

I am glad the world cup sells tickets based on this hype. The sport needs all the help it can get – this is clever stuff.

Reply to DavidS @ 9:58 am: Erm, I think this weekends Bok team will have their work cut out for them against Somoa! For the same reasons as Aus last weekend – bad combos and not enough strike power in the back line. Very simple, actually!

    I doubt it.
