Strap yourselves in boys and girls, we are into the last weekend of our hotly contested Rat Race!
What a ride it has been too! Yet again I cannot thank our prize sponsors enough. These guys have put out some brilliant prizes for you without asking for a cent in return, help us thank them and give them a shout out, check what they do as a business and give them a follow on Twitter or their Facebook pages (click on their images on our main page).
So to the gents at EvolveAV (who provides some brilliant audio/visual products and solution to suit any need), GilbertSA (the guys that look after our boys on the field), Oakley SA (bunch of awesome people with even more awesome products) and Dan Retief (acclaimed SA rugby journalist, author and rugby expert) – a huge thank you to all of you – you guys are LEGENDS!
Now it’s down to business! The log is as tight as a camel’s ass in a sandstorm and there are just two more games to go – yes TWO more because the 3rd and 4th place play-offs also count and in my opinion, could well be the decider (as the final is just about a given).
Margin points become exceptionally important now, because from what I see on the log, 1 point could decide your final log position!
This Friday we will have the 3rd and 4th place play-off’s and on Sunday the Rugby World Cup final – so please remember to get your picks in on time.
REMEMBER: Even if you are in last place you can still win one of the best rugby books to hit our shelves for some time! Dan Retief’s, The Springboks and the Holy Grail, is up for grabs for the most accurate prediction of the final score of the Rugby World Cup Final (except if you are in line for a main prize from where we will go to the second most accurate score) – so there is still something for everyone!
Here is one final look at the top 10 punters on the log:
OVERALL RAT RACE LOG
|Jacques(Bunny)All Blacks for 2011 Please!!!||155|
|Asteroth’s Limping Lions||150|
One last thing, thank you guys for supporting us and this competition – to Deon for all the hard work in the background and for my fellow contributors getting the news and results in on time for you to consume.
We will do this again in 2012 of course and hope to see all of you back here, but before then, best of luck to the guys at the top, may the luckiest bastard win, and remember we have one condition from RuggaWorld, we want a picture of the prize!
Best of luck to you all!
