The South African leg of SupeRugby kicks off with an absolute cracker of a match as SA’s most successful Super Rugby team hosts the Sharks at Loftus.

    Dis n heerlike dag op loftus, ja mense, die ideale weer vir hardloop rugby. Ons val in op die aksie, met n skrum vir die bulle op hulle eie tien meter lyn. Dis n soliede skrum, ja die jong vaste vyf van die Bulle beindruk vandag, hulle staan nie n tree terug vir die ster belaaide pak van die haaie nie. Spies tel op, hy hardloop oor daniel, sy kop gaan nog lank seer wees, hy gee die bal uit vir hougaard, hy wen sy man, nou is dit net die jong lambie tussen hom en die doellyn, wat? Wat gaan aan? Die jonge Lambie haal as te ware n psp uit sy sak en begin op die veld games speel, Hougaard gaan oor vir n skitterdrie.

    Here are some interesting things to look out for tonight based on the two earlier games…

    In the Blues/Saders game there was a total of 65 tactical kicks or kicks out of hand (29 Blues, 36 Saders). In the Brumbies/Force game, 62 (28 Brumbies, 34 Force).

    On average, no team carried the ball for longer than 40 seconds without resorting to kicking it…

    Interesting fact, Bulls have according to me never beaten the sharks when they play them in the first game of the super comp.     N man of the match uit so kak game? Niemand, MAAR die man wat by victor oorgeneem het, juandre kruger, take a bow. Wat n lineout en defensive performance. Kak game overall, maar die Bulls het hart gewys en goeie verdedigind, HOOR JY DAWIE VAN DIE OOS RAND, ons het fkn goed defend en die wen verdien.

    Ollie, do you feel me behind you? I caught up in this game, never write of my team, the Bulls allways win with their back against the wall.

    As you can clearly see, I am very happy with this win, we played the best sa team in the super comp, and came out top, we deserved this win with good defense and a lot of heart. Yeah we’ve got a young team, but thanks to heynecke those young players know superrugby. What a boytjie!

    We know how to beat the saders and the blues my friens, yes we knocked a shit load of balls. Without our ten + knock ons, we would’ve win by far. I am happy, maybe prematurely so, but this is the first game, you guys have seen how excited I can get, at one point I was swearing at our loosehead, just cant remember his name, must be the wine, for sitting down injured.     I feel your pain. These days we are watching Barney a few times a day. She seems very interested in singing and bright colors. We had a BBQ this afternoon and she had her first bit of garden time. Loved it. Doesn’t seem to interested in rugby though. Tough cookies for her though. When there is rugby in this house there is only rugby. Baths only at half time etc. And quick quick as well.

    Jt I doubt, the last few years we have been kniwn for leaking tries. If we manage to reduce that, we are in it. I was very impressed with our defense. Making more tackles than the sharks, but missing only one against 7? Just imagine if we hold onto the ball, not throw it away like plonkers everytime we crossed the advantage line.

    Reckon slaptjips went off with sadie. If the injury is serious, I hope they move hougaard to 13 and play vermaak at 9. Hougaard made sa age level at 13. So JT, dont hold your breath yet, the bulls need a 13 without sadie, cos frans does not see the value of hougaard at 13.

    While watching this borefest, I got a great idea how to solve the Kings issue.

    Let the Bulls and Sharks send all the Lions, Stormers & Cheetahs players back to the province where they learned their rugby.

    That should leave about 9 players for the Guppies & 13 for the Bulls. They combine into one team and then these 2 unions actually start to develop players to make up the 30.

    Voila one extra spot for the Kings.
