Okay so obviously I have some gripes with this farce of never-were’s, never-will’s and nobodies (probably a bit harsh)…

Really this is akin to Club rugby…

The Southern game is being played in Kwas land yet there is not a single Kwas player in the team (they’re the only CC region left out, outside of the big 5)?

The Sthern team is that weak they have to bring in a Nthern play at prop?

Is this really the best RSA has to offer outside of the big 5 and Griqua’s?

When the Boks played a mid-week side on their Pom tour… they got smashed… these teams are going to get murdered!

Why aren’t they at least filling the Baa-baa’s side with a mix of promising VC youngsters and experienced good players from all the regions… and playing them at these venues?

Wasted opportunity on many levels IMO!

Reply to bryce_in_oz @ 4:10 am: agreed we should have had Bok B and C teams playing these games. Soften them up a bit you know.

Look forward to seeing Mpho Mbiyozo again. Very underated player.

If they’re going to ‘not’ play any of the Big 5 then they could at the very least play some of the Griqua starts as well… particularly when they’re playing at their home ground…

But yes as for Bok ‘A’ sides… huge beat missed here as per norm… the chance to play the ‘next’ 15 with a few regulars that need game time under Bok structures, keeping them in the loop and ready to step-up should it need be… not to mention trying out some combo’s…

Closest we have come to this was the ‘Emerging Boks’ against the Lions… and it was a draw!

Players I do want to see in Sth team are Hendricks (and how he does in the 15 man game), Bulbring (to see if he’s improved since the Cheetahs) and Watts is always exciting at lower levels…

Where are the more senior players from EP and Boland… like Luke Watson and Stick for starters?

Add at least 5 Kwas players and this side could have been a lot better… as it stands it really just looks like a ‘show parade’ for Jason Smith’s World Artist clients!
