In our first edition of club exposure, we are proud to introduce you to Sir Lowrians Rugby Football Club!
Sir Lowrians Rugby Football Club was established in 1976, merging two clubs of Sir Lowry’s Pass Village .
The Navy Train has been a dominant force in the Helderberg region and has a proud and rich tradition. Sir Lowrians is a community rugby club open to all who wants to be part of a passionate winning culture.
Rugby is a game that unites people from different creeds, of different colour, backgrounds and beliefs. One thing everyone has in common is the passion for the game – that fire inside of you to give it your all, to train & work hard and to support your team no matter what.

- 2010: 2nd Premier B

Club structure
The executive committee is the leading authority of the club. Brothers president John Brits & chairman Hanz Britz have been part of the club structures for many years. They are passionate loyal supports of Sir Lowrians. For them, as it is for many other members and supports, rugby is a 2nd religion and family – sometimes Sir Lowrians take 1st place.

The club has four teams that currently play in the Premier B league of the Western Province Rugby Union (WPRFU). The four teams are:
- 1ST XV
- 2nd XV
- 3rd XV
- U20 XV
Sponsorship
The ASLA group of companies, more specifically ASLA MAGWEBU & ASLA DEVCO, have been the main sponsors/supporters of Sir Lowrians RFC. They are very passionate about the club and have similar goals and vision for the club.
The club has identified the following key areas that they need assistance from potential sponsors:
- PLAYER TRANSPORT (TO PRACTICE & GAMES)
- U20 PLAYING KIT
- FIRST AID (AT GAMES, PRACTICE AND KIT)
- MEDICAL: GP costs & PHYSIOTHERAPIST for treatment of injuries
