Cheetahs confirm Sadie signing

Cheetahs CEO Harold Verster has confirmed that they’ve signed Bulls centre Johan Sadie on a two year deal, according to EWN Sport.

He will join the Bloemfontein-based outfit next season.

Sadie has had an indifferent season since joining the Pretoria side from the Stormers at the end of last year. He’s struggled to hold down a spot in the Bulls’ 22-man squad after a season plagued by injury and a dip in form.

The Bulls management had apparently given the 23-year-old their blessing to “look at other options” ahead of a release from his contract.

It is believed he’s unhappy with the lack of game time he has received this season.

Go well young man. I think the way you want to play might just fit in best with the Cheetahs.

All the best and make it count this time.

Jip. I think the Cheetahs are losing
Sias Ebersohn – can’t remember where
    he’s going.

I am a fan of Sadie, but it seems chasing money and guaranteed game time has led him astray. I fear he might fade into obscurity. Hopefully he’ll work hard at the Cheetahs and start making us take note again. Wish him well

Good player. He is still very young and I wouldn’t write him off just yet. It must have been hard on him when his good friend and housemate JJ leapfrogged him at the Bulls and Boks.

The Cheetahs are building quite a potent attacking back line.

Come to think of it, they need proper wings, I will play Le Roux at 15.
If they improve their defense they can go far.

I believe Willie Roux prefers 15,
    like Lambie.
Hope Sias gets a better deal than
    the one Super Sarel got.

There is a definite Gaffie vibe I pick up with Sadie.

He left WP not willing to fight for his jersey where he was promised more game time at the Bulls.

Given his injuries, JJ’s form and some signings by the Bulls at center he is also not willing to fight for his jersey there and would rather move on to the Cheetahs for ‘game time’.

The lad needs to knuckle down.

Just when you think Messerschmitt Willie LeRoux can’t get any better….

Cheetahs mgt go out and acquire Sadie. If it goes well the addition is akin to strapping jets onto Willie – with the additional attention and space Sadie-Cakes will create.

Do I hear playoffs with healthy Goose all season….
    Oh Yeah.

Methinks Sadie has been given some extremely poor advice by a money-hungry manager…

Injured half the season and he complains about game-time and is now going to a cellar-dweller team?

Mmmmm, seems being “stronger, fitter and mentally tougher” doesn’t make up for the kak lifestyle in Pretoria??

It seems Sadie was also not a big fan of the Bulls way of playing rugby if his comments are to be believed.

He shouldn’t mention this too loud, otherwise he will never get a Bok look-in.

Bulls have been playing same style for eons.
NOW Sadie suddenly realises their style does
    not fit him?
