As with the games over the weekend, the Rat Race for the pair of Oakley sunglasses turned out to be a closely fought affair.
We had 2 Rats crossing the line in very close proximity of each other and we had to revert to a photo finish. As determined by the rules, if 2 players end up on the same number of points we will determine the winner in the following order:
1. The one who called the winners of the games correctly. In this case it still left us in with a draw.
2. The one that came the closest to the actual margins.
The 2 players that are causing all these headaches and a horde of emails (it takes time to explain maths to Morne and Dawie), were Ollie and Logan.
How did we determine the winner?
In the first game, the Chiefs beat the Crusader by 3 points. Logan predicted the Chiefs to win by 6 and Ollie predicted the Chiefs win by 4. This left Logan with a margin difference of 3 and Ollie with a difference of 1.
As everyone knows by now, the Sharks beat the Stormers by 7 points. Ollie predicted a margin of 6 to the Sharks and Logan a margin of 5 to the Sharks. The result was margin differences of -1 and -2 for Ollie and Logan, respectively.
When we add these margin differences it leaves Ollie with a net margin difference of 0 (Zero) and Logan with a margin difference of 1.
So after all this, we are proud to announce that our Belgium beer lover has won himself a pair of Oakley sunnies to protect his eyes come winter time there on the continent of financial chaos.
Congratulations to Ollie and again we like to thank Oakley for their continued support of Your World of South African Rugby.
Thanks for playing guys/gals and remember there is another pair of Oakley sunnies AND the main prize up for grab this coming weekend.
