Lions change 8

The Golden Lions Rugby Union announced the MTN Golden Lions team to play the Vodacom Blue Bulls on Saturday, 8 September at Loftus Versfeld, this morning.

There are eight changes to the starting line-up that played the Griquas last weekend:
1. Callie Visagie replaces Banidse Maku at Hooker
2. Jacobie Adriaanse replaces CJ van der Linde at Tight Head Prop
3. Hendrik Roodt replaces Joshua Strauss at Left Lock
4. Cobus Grobbelaar replaces Jaco Kriel at Left Flanker
5. Michael Bondesio replaces Ross Cronje at Scrum Half
6. Ruan Combrinck replaces Anthony Volmink at Left Wing
7. Alwyn Hollenbach replaces Butch James at Left Centre
8. Deon Helberg replaces JR Esterhuizen at Right Wing

On the bench the following changes have been made:
1. Bandise Maku will be at Reserve Hooker in place of Callie Visagie who starts at Hooker
2. CJ van der Linde replaces Ruan Dreyer at Reserve Prop
3. Jaco Kriel will be at Utility Forward in place of Cobus Grobbelaar who starts at Left Flanker
4. Ross Cronje comes off the bench in place of Michael Bondesio who starts at Scrum Half
5. Butch James is Utility Back while Alwyn Hollenbach starts at Left Centre
6. Jaco Taute will be on the bench in place of Deon Helberg who has his first start for the Lions at Right Wing
