Sportsbet giving Frans a punching chance…

This is a more difficult fight for SBW than Nasser had for Mundine at the start of his career… and there is no way Nasser would clip his new golden goose’s wings s soon… and that makes me suspicious…

  2. SBW to try and stay away from Fransie’s typical dirty boxing punch-then-clinch and try and tire him out before stepping up his combo’s…

Frans his usual (I hope not) one-two slugs with hands down, dirty-boxing then clinch… and look for the KO haymaker…

SBW to take it… Nasser wouldn’t have it any other way…

Ditto the Cronje bros… I had to delete comment earlier… hope Lionel has a great season and stays with the Lions…

On reflection (and Bulls youtube vids)… seems there are some promising acquisitions by the Lions from Bulls above…

  4. Botha spots flaws in SBW

Cape Town – Veteran heavyweight boxer Francois Botha says he has spotted flaws in the style of Sonny Bill Williams ahead of their WBA International bout in Brisbane on Friday.

Ek hoop Botha slaan sewe soorte kak uit

Of course it is… on paper this was a tougher match-up than Nasser’s first for Mundine (who was exceptional from the start)… SBW said he’d quit if he lost… no way Nasser would let his goose go down when there are many potential golden eggs to come…

Watch Frans’ last fight in 2011… tonight there are zero power upper-cuts to the head and rips to the body before his favourite clinch and dirty boxing… he’s always moved well for a fatty and never threw punches with his weight on the back-foot as he is doing tonight… long gone are the counter-punching he loved once drawing an opponent with his hands down and sucking in a few punches…

Nah probably a $150k handshake and a holiday in Noosa…

  6. Gone are his 3 punch combo’s too… the usual one-two-then either power over-hand or power upper-cut…

Painful this really… not sure why anyone expected any less…

  7. Mundine the knob leaning on the ring watching… still moaning about his loss last week today… despite the stats… painful!

  8. SBW was absolutely out on his feet hanging on for dear life and getting warning after warning… ref calls fight finished at 10 rounds when most thought it was 12… he would have been fooked by the 45 yr old fatty!!!

    What a joke…
