Just wondering: Is that Chiefs team
not in need for transformation with
    a few pronounceable names?

Elstad, Kolisi getting good go-forward ball for the team, Jantjies looking the player we know from the Lions and Aplon is a live wire – very happy with the performance so far.
    Chiefs line-out needs work!

2 points – 1. they could not in the 1st two games but they improved.
    2. Chiefs defence making it easier for them to do.

Well done to the Stormers and Chiefs. After today’s rugby I believe in a balanced game plan more than ever. An expansive above all or a ultra conservative aproach will just not ensure success in the long term in modern rugby. The Stormers played rugby for a change and looked better than anything they dished up in their fear of playing rugby 2012. I truly hope Heyneke take notice.

Wel . . . skielik lyk die Sharks ook nie
meer so goed nie. Daar lê spanne voor hulle
wat nóg beter verdedig. Sal maar sien wat die
Bulls more doen – maar ek staan wragtig nie

Nice to have gone with the heart and not the head in my picks and to have had the Stormers win! Here in NZ the media are blaming ill-discipline by the Chiefs to have cost them. Apparently the feisty scrumhalf Tawera Kerr-Barlow and the normally out of trouble Nick Crosswell were both yellow carded. Was the game a bit niggly as well as exciting?

Very exciting. Both teams wanted to play rugby.
Yes, two YC’s for the kind of transgressions
that some believe the teams from Down Under
TRAIN to do – like interfering with opponents
without the ball, slowing the ball down at rucks.
I thought Peyper was very fair and strict.
Two good grubber tries that caught the home team
    defenseless.
Stormers’ forwards looked well in the scrums and
mauls, taking 3 lineouts, losing one.
They now have a bye before a crunch game vs the
    Brumbies at home.
Not niggly, apart from the incident when Vermeulen
was taken out without the ball and retaliated.

I’m actually going to go out on a limb and reckon that we’re due a spanking for all sides this season.

I don’t think we’ve had weaker sides since the days of Harry Lips Viljoen and Rudolph the Red Nosed 8thman in Super Rugby.
