The Sharks welcome back their captain, Keegan Daniel for their match against the Brumbies this weekend.
Keegan’s return is crucial given the injury to Jean Deysel who is reportedly sidelined for up to 4 weeks. It was initially thought that Jacques Botes will also spent a lengthy time on the sidelines but after some scans it was found to be an old injury. Another change sees Charl McLeod earn his first start of the season for the team.
“Jacques Botes was initially diagnosed with a cracked wrist, but on later examination we discovered that he has had it for a long time, that it was a previous injury. It’s not a new injury, he’s alright and that’s good news for the team,” Sharks coach John Plumtree said
“Charl McLeod hasn’t had an opportunity, he’s been really looking forward to having one and I think it’s a good time to re-introduce him, to help with our communication a little and he’ll be looking forward to a good game.”
“It’s the same with Odwa Ndungane, he hadn’t started a game yet so we wanted to give him an opportunity at some point, it’s a big game this week.”
