Ioane off to Stade

French radion station, RMC, reports that Digby Ioane has signed with Stade Francaise.

The Reds winger has been involved in a very public dispute with his franchise over apparent unpaid payments due to him through 3rd party sponsors.

The Reds administration have been adamant that no money is owed to Ioane but it is clear that the relationship with the club and the player has broken down.

Reds have it in his contract that he may not join any other Australian franchise if he decides to leave within the contracted period agreed to with the Reds.

At least JOC has pulled his head in this season (perhaps it was the captaincy) and has knuckled down and let his playing do the talking…

However Digby is a BIG loss to Australian rugby…

His backline combination with Genia and Cooper is still electric
