With the Six Nations looming in the next few weeks, Wales already are looking at some key injuries that can derail their defence of the cup.
Jack Harpur our corresponded in the UK will give us some more insight into the run up to the Six Nations.
Huge blow for Wales and their SixNations campaign as it is unlikely Jonathon Davies will be available for selection after the injury he sustained against the Springboks in the Autumn.
Lions centre Davies, who is on his way to Clermont at the end of the season has not played since his pectoral injury in the Autumn. The Scarlets say their captain, is progressing well and taking part in light training, but will not recover in time for the start of the SixNations.
Davies was one of the Lions’ stars in their victorious tour of Australia in the summer, playing in all three Tests, controversially being picked ahead of Brian O’Driscoll for the series decider. Disappointing for Welsh fans but, the return of Jamie Roberts could not have been timed better as injury problems hit the Welsh squad.
Roberts returned in Racing Metro’s impressive 14-3 win over Toulon where they dominated territory for much of the game thanks to the boot of Johnny Sexton.
