In Super League B, Sir Lowrians beat Hands & Heart 27-6, Macassar beat Young Peoples 29-15, Pniel beat Goodwood 40-21 and Hamlets and St Georges played to a 15-15 draw. Sir Lowrians are the new league leaders with 41 points, closely followed by Villager’s.

In Super League C, Paarl beat Elsies Rivier 21-17, Raithby beat Eersterivier 42-3, Langa beat Silverleaf  10-9, and Franschoek beat Stel/Coronations 35-20. Raithby remain on top with 46 points.

Congratulations must to go Young Stars, Masiphumelele, and Blue Jets who were winners of the City, Southern, and Northern leagues, respectively. They now join the other nine teams in the play-off league for promotion to Super League C.

Congratulations are also in order for the DHL Western Province youth teams who performed so remarkably over the past few weeks.

Our Under-18 Academy side beat KZN 38-7 to become Academy Week champions, whilst our Craven Week side won their final match 37-29 against Free State in Middelburg last weekend.

Well done too, to our Under-18 Girls Sevens side who successfully defended their Sevens title in Uitenhage over the weekend, and to the Under-16 Girls team who finished their Youth Week unbeaten in KZN.

Four of the DHL Western Province’s standout players from the Under-18 Coca-Cola Craven Week tournament were selected for the SA Schools trial squad. Well done to wing Duncan Saal, flank Saud Abrahams and locks Ruben de Villiers and Jaco Willemse who were named in the named in the 55-man trial squad. Best of luck to you boys, we know you will continue to do your union proud!

There are some really exciting club rugby fixtures coming up this weekend.

St Georges v Pniel (SLB)
