Basson back in the fray for the Blue Bulls
Absa Currie Cup record try scorer in a season, Bjorn Basson, has been declared fit and available for the Vodacom Blue Bulls and will be considered for selection for the match against DHL Western Province at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
Basson has missed the start of the competition due to an ankle injury.
Vodacom Blue Bulls team doctor Org Strauss confirmed the continued unavailability of Jacques-Louis Potgieter (ribs) for this weekend, but indicated good progress and the player might return in the next two weeks.
A number of players will miss training on Monday, but will be back on the field Tuesday.
They include Jurgen Visser (toe), Ulrich Beyers (concussion), Burger Odendaal (quad), Akona Ndungane (knee), Deon Stegmann (groin) and Paul Willemse (hamstring), who will all be available to face WP.
