The Highlanders won a scrappy game against the Bulls on Saturday with 17-10.
The weather did not play its part on Saturday at Loftus but then again neither teams showed any class as well.
It was much of a ‘kick and pray” tactic from both teams but neither really had a plan with these kicks. Handling errors was in the order of the day and poor decision making when on attack and did actually not kicked.
The Bulls was first on the board with and easy penalty but it was the Highlanders that scored the first try through a kick which the Bulls could not control.
They quickly added to the try with a penalty which was the halftime score 0f 10-3/
The second half started much of the same as the first with both teams just kicking the ball at every opportunity and hope the other one make a mistake.
The Bulls scored their first try after the Highlanders could not control a kick from the Bulls to make the scores 10 all after 50 min.
The was turned around a bit when Naholo got a red card for a late shoulder against the head which gave the Bulls a motivation.
Change at nine with Paige coming in also gave the Bulls better forward ball and momentum.
The Bulls then did the same with Snyman going in with the shoulder against a Highlanders head and got a red card.
The Highlanders then stole a Bulls lineout and scored a seven pointer to take the lead 17-10 after 77 min.
That is also how the game ended.
Tries: Faddes, Fekitoa
Cons: Smith, Banks
Red card: Naholo
