It was an exciting first half of rugby in Bloemfontein with the Cheetahs and Warriors running the ball from all corners.
At the end the Warriors were able to get a bonus point win of 29-26 against the Cheetahs on Friday night
It was the Warriors that put points on the board first with a penalty as they struggled in their set pieces against a Cheetahs who was certainly up for this one.
The Cheetahs scored first with Petersen going over in the corner and taken the lead 7-3 against the run of play in a way.
The Warriors had most of the possession but opted to go for lineouts rather than taken points and with the Cheetahs defence up for it in the first half they could not get pass them.
The Cheetahs got a penalty over to stretch the lead to 10-3 before the Warriors put multiple phases together and got their first try to level scores at 10-all.
Just before halftime, Specman was at the end of a kick forward to score and gave the Cheetahs the lead at the break 17-10.
The second half was as exciting as the first with both team throwing everything at it but it was the Cheetahs that dominated the scrums and lineouts.
The Warriors struggled to get going and had to work on counter attacks and scraps from the Cheetahs but the quality of this team showed at the end.
They levelled the scores early in the second half which gave us the signs that it will be a close one. With the scores at 17 all the Cheetahs did force a few penalties to get back in the lead with 23-17.
The turnaround came with the Cheetahs on attack in the Warriors twenty-two giving away a intercept which gave the lead back to the Warriors. This was a 14-point turnaround which hurt the Cheetahs at the end.
With the scores at 24-23 and 5 minutes left the Cheetahs got the lead back with another penalty but the fans hearts were broken with a brilliant try from a lineout for the Warriors with two minutes left.
At the end the Warriors could hang on to their 29-26 lead and kept their unbeaten record this season.
