Province booked a spot into the final against the Sharks next week with a 19-5 victory over the Lions.
It was Province with the first points as Du Preez got an early penalty over for a 3-0 lead with in minutes of the match.
It was the Lions that scored the first try and showed their class early on with a perfect drive over the line.
This gave them a 5-3 lead as the two teams went at each other. WP made the most play throughout the first half with the Lions to defend for most of the time.
Province took the lead through another penalty from Du Preez to make the score 6-5.
The Lions had few attacking opportunities as they played most of the half in their own half.
Province at the end scored a try to take it to 13-5 just before halftime although the try looked like a double movement from Louw.
The second half saw a bit more attack from the Lions but Province defence were able to stop them every time.
With the pressure from the Lions, Province could get points on the board every time they got a chance with penalties from Du Preez.
It was not pretty as both teams tried to dominate upfront which cause a lot of penalties at the breakdown.
At the end it was just too far for the Lions to come back from a 19-5 lead and Province made sure that they will meet the Sharks in next weeks final.
