Meyer join Lions for Super Rugby

The Lions Rugby Company (Pty) Ltd. has acquired the services of Griquas scrumhalf Christiaan Meyer on loan for the 2018 Super Rugby season.

More acquisition will be announced in the coming weeks.

All teams are currently on break and will return mid-November to begin Super Rugby preparation. Lions Rugby Company (Pty) Ltd. thanks all its loyal supporters for their ongoing support through the season.

The Lions Rugby Company is very proud of their Under 19 side that successfully defended their provincial title. They beat the Free State 55-24 in the final at Growthpoint Kings Park (Durban) last weekend. Their tally of 104 tries for the season is a proud achievement. The following players have come to the end of their contract with the Lions Rugby Company (Pty) Ltd. Rudolf Straeuli CEO of Lions Rugby Company wishes all these players the very best for their future endeavors.

  1. Booysen did not live up to his potential albeit he did not get much of a chance and was also played out of position at lock… which he is not. Van Der Walt is a big loss… super handy and strong at the back… playing great rugby towards the end of the season.
