There were wins for the Ospreys and Dragons in the Anglo-Welsh Cup on Friday as they beat Cardiff Blues and Scarlets respectively.
Cardiff Blues 16-26 Ospreys
Ospreys bounced back from last week’s loss to pick up a win on the road as they saw off Cardiff Blues 26-16 at the Arms Park.
They move above London Irish into third place in Pool 4 as second-half tries from Reuben Morgan-Williams and Rhys Williams saw them to the four points. Luke Price kicked one conversion while replacement Sam Davies slotted 14 points from the tee.
A late try from Harri Millard ultimately did not see Cardiff Blues pick up a losing bonus-point as they suffer a second straight loss.
For Cardiff Blues:
Pens: Shingler 3
Tries: Morgan-Williams, Williams
Cons: Price, Davies
Pens: Davies 4
Dragons 23-18 Scarlets
Dragons got their Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign back on track as they beat Scarlets thanks to a second-half comeback in Newport.
Trailing due to Scarlets tries from Tomi Lewis and Rhodri Jones early in the game, the Dragons had it all to do if they were to win.
But scores in the second half from Ellis Shipp, Dan Babos and Brok Harris saw them get the job done in a remarkable comeback.
Tries: Shipp, Babos, Harris
Pens: Robson, Henson
Tries: Lewis, Jones
