The Vodacom Bulls have added another pre-season match as they prepare for this years Super Rugby which kick off in February.

They have added a match against the Jaguares at Loftus on the 10 February which will make it four matches to get things right for the men from Pretoria.

John Mitchell has been hard at work to turn a dismal 2017 around for the Bulls. With four pre-season matches Mitchell will have enough time to use his full squad and see where players are at.

Super Rugby is not a sprint and you need a full fit squad to get close in winning this thing and Micthell knows that.

A week later they will end the pre-season against the Jaguares.

The Los Angeles game is part of a double header in the US, featuring the US National team against an Argentine XV in the other game as the Bulls look to take their brand to new markets.

  1. How will this work:

27 January v Emirates Lions, Johannesburg

    27 January v Cell C Sharks, Polokwane

Will one of them be a B-team?

  2. The sides have 45 man squads which have to reduce to I think 28 for the SR. Injured players are permitted to be ringfenced. In these pre-season friendlies it is not uncommon for teams to go into games with all 45 players and filed every single player in the game.

If Mitchell plays two teams he just needs one more to make two full sides. Arguable he has capacity.
