The Bulls scored two first-half tries as they beat the Jaguares 21-12 in a pre-season match at the Loftus B-field on Saturday.
The hosts split their squad into two groups, with many of their youngsters starting in the first half and Lood de Jager leading the side.
In a tight match, it was the Bulls who took the lead when fullback Andell Loubser collected a kick-pass from flyhalf Manie Libbock to score a self-converted try.
With half-time approaching, Bulls flank Marco van Staden barged his way over the line from close range.
Bulls coach John Mitchell replaced the entire team at half-time, with many Springboks and senior players coming on.
The changes made an immediate impact as Jesse Kriel broke from midfield and set up fullback Warrick Gelant to score the Bulls’ third.
The Jaguares then hit back with late tries from Julian Montoya and Javier Ortega Desio.
