The Sharks made heavy work in the first half but eventually ran away with the game to get their first win of the season against the Sunwolves on Saturday.
It was at the end a 50-22 game for the Sharks which also secure them a bonus point.
Sharks got of to a good start against the Sunwolves as they dominated the early stages of the first half.
It was a penalty from Du Preez that put the first points on the board which followed by a good try by Mapimpi a few minutes later.
This gave the Sharks a 10-0 lead but then the errors started to come again which gave the Sunwolves the chance to put pressure on the Sharks.
After spending some time in the Sharks twenty-two the Sunwolves did went away with three points but it was Akker van der Merwe who did his magic down the line to score the Sharks second try.
The Sharks started to get more and more in the game and took control with some better play with ball in hand which led to Tera try just before halftime.
This gave the Sharks a 24-3 lead which they held until halftime.
The first half was good from Sharks but still so many mistakes on attack and senseless kicking in that first half.
The second half went a bit the way of the Sunwolves as they put pressure on the Sharks in their own half. They eventually got over in the corner to score their first try of the match.
The Sharks hot back immediately with a second try for Mapimpi in the corner which took the score to 29-8 after 50 min.
The Sharks got another try as they started to have more ball in hand and with less handling errors stretch their lead to 36-8.
The Sunwolves did not give up even if they were far behind on the scoreboard. They kept the pressure on the Sharks in their twenty-two and send Wimpie van der Walt over for their third try of the match.
The Sharks were starting to love the loose game that presented itself when Bosch saw some space and put a short kick which Nkosi picked up to get over for another try in the match.
The Sharks started to pull away with just a few minutes to go as Wright scored another for them from a mistake by the Sunwolves.
This gave the Sharks 50 up on the scoreboard.
The Sunwolves got one more try to take the final score to 50-22 for the Sharks as they got their first win of the season and also a bonus point.
