Lions head coach Swys de Bruin has made several changes to his starting line-up for Sunday’s Super Rugby clash against the Crusaders in Johannesburg.
There are eight changes in all from the side which lost to the Jaguares in Buenos Aires last week with Hacjivah Dayimani’s inclusion at number eight the biggest surprise.
Dayimani, who has three Super Rugby caps under his belt, will pack down in the back row alongside Kwagga Smith, who is back at side of the scrum after wearing the number eight jersey against the Jaguares, and Cyle Brink.
Another youngster, Madosh Tambwe, will start at wing in the place of the injured Aphiwe Dyantyi.
Dillon Smit dons the number nine jumper in his first start in Super Rugby this season. Smit made his return to the playing field off the replacements bench against the Jaguares after a long lay-off due to a fractured ankle in August 2017.
Corné Fourie makes his way onto the bench as replacement hooker while Marnus Schoeman will also warm the bench again.
