It seems that there are a few clubs after the signature of Springbok Vermeulen.
Vermeulen was a key player in the success of Rassie Erasmus Springboks series win over England in June and it seems his market value has gone up.
Vermeulen has already signed with Japanese club Kubota Spears but there is no clear indication what Vermeulen plans are after the season ends in December in Japan.
The last week or so English club Bath has shown their interest in Vermeulen service as well as the Bulls.
After WP President earlier said that they are not looking to sign Vermeulen when it was clear that he will leave Toulon, has now also shown interest to get him back at the Stormers next year.
Netwerk24 reported on Wednesday that Vermeulen’s former team, the Stormers, are now also interested in luring him back.
Although Vermeulen has property in Cape Town it is not a done deal that he will come back to the Cape.
It seems that there was not a friendly handshake a few years ago between Vermeulen and WP Rugby when he left for Toulon.
One would like to see Vermeulen stay in South Africa next year with an eye on the World Cup but English clubs will come in strong to pull the Springbok to England.
It seems time will tell where Vermeulen will end up next year.
Vermeulen has already made himself unavailable for the Rugby Championship so the we most properly will only see him for the Springboks again at the end of year tour.
