The defending champions the Crusaders have secured the top spot for this Super Rugby season with one round to go.
This means they will be playing at home for the playoff rounds and possible final, this after beating the Highlanders 45-22 on Friday.
They outscored an outplayed the Highlanders with five tries to three which include a few from George Bridge to makes it 11 wins in a row.
The Highlanders had to endure another heavy lost after going down to the Chiefs last weekend as well.
The two losses is not the end of the world yet for them as they can still make the playoffs but it will not be at home if they do.
The Saders were quickly out of the blocks with a 12-0 lead scoring two tries.
The Highlanders got one back through Whitelock that send Lomax over.
Ben Smith also got over to reduce the Saders lead to only 25-17 at the break.
The Saders were back on track shortly after the break with a try from Mo’unga.
The Highlanders hit back immediately with Naholo but Bridge scored his second as well.
The Saders will face the Blues next week at home which they should be able to pick up the points while the Highlanders will be back at home against the Rebels.
