Jan de Koning from Rugby365 is of the opinion that it is confirmed that John Mitchell will report for duty at England next month.

Jones are looking for a defence coach after Paul Gustard left the team for Harlequins.

Rugby Football have not say a word on this with Micthell still under contract till October 2019.

We all know that England have no problem buying out couches from their current contracts.

De Koning said a source source close to the Pretoria-based franchise told this website that those calls would not have gone out if Mitchell was not departing.

Apparently Bulls legends Fourie du Preez, Matfield are possible replacements.
What the hell? Yes my reaction exactly, but atleast the names of Jimmy Stonehouse and John Dobson is also doing the rounds.
If the Bulls have to get a new coach then you do not look any further than Stonehouse and Dobson, both brilliant coaches that deserve higher honour.

Stonehouse has close links with the Bulls – from his days as a teacher at Hoërskool Waterkloof, the Bulls Cravenweek team and Pretoria Harlequins. He has just returned from a three-year stint at the Brave Lupus in Japan.

Dobson, a born-and-bred Capetonian, is coach of the defending champion Western Province Currie Cup team.

The BBC, while confirming that interest was shown in Mitchell’s services, said no formal offer has been received from the RFU.

It kills me to say it but it seems David and Bryce were right about Mitchell.

  1. I am not going to lie but this is the best possible thing that could have happened to the Bulle.

    Imagine the horror in Cape Town if a duo of Stonehouse and Dobson oversee a resurgence at the Bulle. It happened under Meyer and Mike Bailey.

  3. Getting paid millions – and head-hunted for his next job. The same idiots rejoicing, are the ones who asked “why do our coaches do better overseas”. Go figure.

    The Kiwi’s do just fine with half the salary cap.

    @Bekke:

    Who is rejoicing… plain facts are that his track record at club level has been woeful Assistant coach is clearly his ceiling.

  5. I won’t be able to stop laughing if John Dobson moves to Pretoria and beats the snot out of the Stormers every time they play.

    Because Thelo believes Fleck is the man.
