Sharks added more misery to Free State poor start to Currie Cup

The Free State Cheetahs have now lost three from free which two were at home with the Sharks beating them on Saturday in Bloemfontein 33-29.

The Free State Cheetahs were much-improved, but in the end it wasn’t enough as the Sharks maul worked perfectly in that first half building a lead that was just to much for the Cheetahs to get back.

The hosts, inspired by a superb performance from flyhalf Louis Fouche, took a 15-12 lead into half-time but could not hold in.

The Sharks scored five tries to four from the Cheetahs as coach Robert du Preez’s men secured their second win in as many matches.

The Sharks were full value for the win as they dominated most of the play but both teams made allot of handling errors and mistakes on attack.
