I was lucky or is it unlucky enough to be sitting at Loftus when I witness the first time I can remember a game being called off at halftime.
It was still a great day out with the wife and kids and enjoyed the little bit of rugby we did see through the rain and lightning.
Province were on fire again in the first half scoring four tries to the one of the Blue Bulls before it all ended at the 40 minute mark.
The match was already delayed due to the rain and lightning and for players safety it was decided to call it off and awarded Province the win leading 34-7.
The rain did started to fade away at the end of the first half but during the break the rain and lightning around the stadium saw referee Egon Seconds make the call to end the game.
Western Province take the points for the win which sees them top the Currie Cup log.
The two teams will meet in the semi-finals next Saturday while the Sharks take on the Lions to determine who will contest the Currie Cup final.
