Springbok hooker Schalk Brits has confirmed that he will play his Super Rugby next year in Cape Town with the Stormers.
This comes after the news that former Stormer Vermeulen signed with the Bulls for 2019.
Netwerk 24 on Thursday confirmed that Brits will play his Super Rugby for the Stormers.
Brits told the Afrikaans publication that he will be fighting hard for the starting hooker berth.
“I’m definitely not here for the money. I want to add value on and off the field.”
Brits will be gunning for the same position as Bongi Mbonambi and Scarra Ntubeni.
Brits retired from professional rugby but a recall from Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has giving him a last shot in playing in other World Cup.
During his time at Saracens (2009-2018) he also won two European Champions Cup titles.
