The Springboks take on England on Saturday and we try our hand at predicting the outcome.
Clayton, Jade, Rhyno, Morne and Jacques gives us their predictions.
Clayton Saville – England by 6-9 points
I’m picking England by 6 to 9 points. Much has been made of England’s injuries in the build up to this game but I believe it has been overplayed and they will be looking to make a statement at HQ.
The Springbok are without some key personnel and are openly still doing some experimentation building into next year, a heavy underfoot will make things difficult for this team high on belief but low on experience.
Jade Manasse – England by 5 points
On paper, the Springboks have the superior pack.
This could be crucial. However, I feel feel they will fall short against a motivated, desperate England side, playing a low risk brand of rugby.
First game of their season, at a packed Twickenham. England by 5.
Ryno Barnard – Springboks by 12
Jones is under a lot of pressure to get a win and Erasmus would like to build on good momentum and form during the last few games of the RC so both teams will be eager for a win.
Its hard to predict what Eddie planned for this game but he is a master in finding a way to beat top teams and would have learned a lot about this new Springbok group during the June internationals.
In saying that, the Boks have grown a lot, sharpen their defence and the youngsters have a lot more confidence and believe in themselves.
With clear skies and dry conditions the forecast at twickenham I will expect the Boks to bully them upfront but also attack hard on the wings.
Looking forward to see Damien attacking from 15. Boks to take it by 12.
Jacques Nortier- Springboks by 9 points
The Springboks have been playing a game this year that dominate upfront and score at the back.
Our defence has been improving game by game and we have special players at the back that can score tries.
I see the Springboks to dominate with the pack and we have some big boys that will be coming from the bench.
It will be a close game but Boks will take it by 9.
Morne Barnard – Springboks by 5 points
Confidence gained during Rugby Championship put Boks as favorites.
Forward pack will be too strong for England. Vermeulen, Kolisi and Du Toit will pick hole in the defence and expect to see De Allende and Kriel to dominate the midfield with the extra space.
The Pollard and Van Zyl combination is crucial to the outcome
of the game.
Weakness is the back three and they will be tested. Expect England will focus on a strong kick and chase game and try to run the Springboks of there feet. Springboks by 5
