This time of year is not just all about the test between the Southern and the Northern Hemisphere, SA Rugby is also going into silly season as a few players contracts are up for renewal.
Now the rumours has been going around that WP has some money issues which is nothing new, and that at this stage Chris van Zyl has already signed a short term contract with Saracens.
It is already been reported that Province financial difficulties has suggested they can not afford Schalk Brits.
It now seems the Bulls is after the Springbok hooker
‘We’re at an advanced stage in our negotiations,’ Bulls high performance manager Xander Janse van Rensburg told Netwerk24. ‘We’ve been negotiating with him for some time now. We’ve always believed we’ll be successful and convinced that he’ll play Super Rugby for us next year.’
If that was not enough for Province it seems that the Kings are after Scarra Ntubeni now as well.
According to Netwerk24, Kings coach Deon Davids has already spoken to the 27-year-old about the prospect of playing PRO14 rugby with the Eastern Cape franchise.
“We have had a good conversation,” Davids was quoted as saying by the Afrikaans website.
“Scarra comes from the area and I think he will be a great asset for us.
“He has suffered a lot of injuries recently and it might be good for his confidence to play for us in the PRO14.”
Time will tell if all these rumours actually comes true but it seems that WP and the Stormers are in serious trouble.
