I think there are still a few Irish that are celebrating the win last weekend against New Zealand and rightly so but this weekend they end their November series against the USA and it is back to business for the team.
If Ireland take the win, which they should, against the USA they will end a brilliant year with 11 wins from 12 outings. That gives them the best record for this year by a Trie One nation.
This Irish team reminds me a lot of our own successful Springboks class of 2007. The only thing now remaining for them is to take this to the World Cup next year, but there is still a few test to come.
Ireland opponents this weekend is the USA who has been a much improved side since Gary Gold took over as coach.
Gold side has been on a incredible run of late with nine straight wins against the likes of Scotland, Samoa, Romania and Canada.
Although Ireland has made a number of changes everyone are expecting them to still win the test.
Gary Gold has made three changes to his starting team with two on the bench. We will see the return of scrum-half Shaun Davies, who jumps back in the team after completing HIA protocol, He takes Ruben de Haas’ place.
Hanco Germishuys will come in at flanke and Marcel Brache shifts to the wing with Will Hooley at full-back.
Prediction: USA will be brave but Ireland will pull this through with at least 20 points.
