The Southern Kings are close to change ownership which will see the franchise becoming a true professional franchise.
This weekend the Kings and stakeholders will meet for the final negotiations.
It was in August when the Kings announced the deal which will see them becoming the first black-owned rugby franchise in the country.
The whole process took much longer than expected but it looks now that we could see this being complete this weekend.
On Wednesday, EP Rugby Union president Andre Rademan confirmed to SARugbymag.co.za that a meeting had now been set for Sunday morning for final negotiations to take place.
