It seems Pat Lambie will announce his retirement from rugby.
It is really sad that the 56 capped Springbok must call it a day at 28 years.
His reasoning for calling it quits is due to an accumulation of concussions he suffered the last couple of years.
It is reported that he is seriously worried about his health and wants to retire immediately.
His problems started after a heavy knock he got in the collision against CJ Stander in a test at Newlands in 2016.
He struggled to recover after that and suffered another head collision with Rhyno Smith in Super Rugby 2017.
He signed with Racing 92 and suffered another injury to his eye socket and knee last year.
Although it is very sad to see a quality player like Lambie retire his health must be the main priority.
