Japan has named a training squad for the Rugby World Cup and included three South African born players in this squad.
Wimpie van der Walt, Grant Hattingh and Lappies Labuschagné will join the 20-man Japan training squad.
Van Der Walt has already played nine times for Japan but Hattingh and Labuschagne who both played for the Sunwolves last season will meet up with the squad for the first time.
Being involved in the National training squad will most result in them missing the first few matches in this years Super Rugby competition.
The Sunwolves start the season against the Sharks, Waratahs, Chiefs and Blues in the opening rounds.
