With Super Rugby kicking off this weekend one expected normally that teams will be rearing to go but one of the big clashes this weekend the coaches are worrying about certain players.
The Stormers will travel to Pretoria to face the Bulls in round one and both teams are looking at a few players to proof their fitness before Saturday.
For the Stormers they are worried about loosehead Springbok prop Steven Kitshoff who got a hamstring injury against Boland this past weekend.
If Kitshoff is unavailable the jumper would go to Ali Vermaak and they have Corne Fourie as well that can fill in but first price will be to have Kitshoff starting.
It will be a massive battle in the pack at Loftus and you would like to have your best taking on the Bulls in their own back yard.
The Bulls also have some worries upfront with Schalk Brits who strained his calf against the Sharks over the weekend.
With hookers Edgar Marutlulle and Jaco Visagie already out the hookers available in Pretoria are running thin.
The Bulls injury concerns does not stop with their hookers as they also have Ismaiel, Van Staden, Boshoff, Matthews and Snyman still out.
Most of these players are out for between four to six weeks.
The Stormers got the better of the Bulls in the Hero’s days at Cape Town stadium but warmup games and the actual thing are worlds apart.
It will be a different story comes five o’clock Saturday afternoon.
