Perenara lead Hurricanes against Waratahs

TJ Perenara will lead the Hurricanes on Saturday when they take on the Waratahs in Sydney.

He is the Hurricanes most capped halfback and will take the captaincy in the first match of the season with captain Dane Coles playing off the bench this weekend.

Plumtree team have plenty of experience with a good mix of new talent coming through.

At ten Fletcher Smith a former Highlander will start in the ten jumper while Liam Mitchell will make his debut in the run-on side.

In the midfield Plumtree went with Laumape and Proctor with Ben Lam, Vince Aso and Jordie Barrett at the back.

This is not an easy opening match for Plumtree and his men but they have plenty to give to the game on paper
