The Hurricanes came away with and impressive win over the Brumbies on Friday scoring six tries to two.
It was a different team from last week that took the field against the Brumbies on Friday.
The Hurricanes were in control for the better part of the first half and were rewarded with three tries and a lead of 19-8 at the break.
They showed off their skills and were playing at speed which forced the Brumbies to defensive mode for most of the first half.
The Canes took the lead with Coles catching a spilled ball from the Brumbies to take the lead. It took them not long to get their second over with some pretty good handling skills to send Ngani Laumape over.
The Brumbies got a rare opportunity in the Hurricanes half and took full advantage to score their first try through Folau Fainga’a after a great drive from a lineout.
The Brumbies got three more from a penalty but it was the Hurricanes that had the last say with brilliant try from Coles in the corner.
The Canes started the second half as they ended the first, putting huge pressure on the Brumbies on their own line.
A penalty from Barrett extended the lead for them to 22-8, which left the Brumbies to only defend.
All the pressure had to tell at the end and we witness another brilliant try from the Hurricanes to take a commanding lead of 29-8 after 56 min.
The Hurricanes just kept going full tilt and were pushing the Brumbies all the way.
When the Brumbies did get the ball they were forced to take chances and one of those resulted in an intercept which Ngani Laumape ran half the field to score another.
With the Hurricanes keeping the pressure on the Brumbies in their own half and to add to the Brumbies misery, David Pocock was yellow carded for an early tackle.
The Brumbies got back into the Hurricanes half through a few penalties that went their way and from the set piece drive the ball went wide for Wright to get over for their second try of the match.
With 7 min to go the Hurricanes was leading 36-13.
The Hurricanes was not finished as the scored a late try to end the match with a 43-13 win over the Brumbies.
This was an impressive performance from the Hurricanes specially after last week’s loss against the Crusaders.
