The Crusaders got another win for the season when they beat the Reds on Saturday 22-12.
The Crusaders were in control from the start of the match with ball in hand.
They forced the Reds to defend early on and were testing them by putting players in space.
It took not long for the Saders to get the first try through Braydon Ennor who was on the end of a great kick from Jack Goodhue.
They got their second straight from the kick-off when Will Jordan got over to take the lead early on to 10-0.
The next 20 minutes did not really go anywhere with the Crusaders still controlling the game but Reds able to keep their defence in shape.
The Reds got into the Crusaders half just before halftime with a five meter lineout. After a few phases they got Samu Kerevi over for the Reds first try.
The two teams went into the break with the Crusaders leading 10-7.
It took 10 minutes but the Crusaders finally put some more point on the board in the second half when they got over from a lineout five meters out.
This took their lead to 17-7 after 50 minutes.
The Crusaders were playing much better and putting pressure again on the Reds in their own half. Lukhan Salakaia-Loto was yellow carded after he was judged lazy running in the red zone.
With one man less the Reds was always going to struggle and the Crusaders got another try from a lineout drive to extend the lead to 22-7.
The Reds were next to score in the 75 minute of the match after the Crusaders was reduced to 14 men. There was major confusion over a replacement that was done earlier on which was deemed a straight sub and not a concussion test by officials.
This was the final points of the match as the Crusaders took another win.
