The Crusaders send out a strong message to the rest of the teams in the competition when they put fifty past the Chiefs on Saturday.

Although the Chiefs is not playing good rugby at the moment the way the Crusaders played against them, just shows why they are the current champions.

To be honest this Crusaders side will give some international sides a go at the moment.

The Chiefs came into the game desperate for a win against the Champions but had the worst start possible with the Crusaders scoring their first try within the first five minutes.

The Crusaders looked good again with their handling and execution as Ennor went over. That gave them a 7-0 lead.

It took the Crusaders not long to get number two and this time Sevu Reece got over in the corner.

The Chiefs was not bad in this first quarter they just did not have any ball to play with. When they did they put the Crusaders under pressure and scored their first try with Taleni Seu getting over.

With the lead reduced to 12-7 one thought the Chiefs were back in the game but two quick tries from the champions just took the game away from the Chiefs.

The Crusaders were not just good on attack but were solid on defence and there fifth try came from a turnover which send Will Jordan over for his second try and a lead of 33-7.

The second half started the way the first started with the Crusaders putting huge pressure on the Chiefs to score first and extend their lead to 40-7.

The Chiefs like any New Zealand franchise never gave up and they were able to get over in the corner for their second try of the match.

The Crusaders were brilliant on counter attack and scored their seventh try through David Havili. The Crusaders hit the fifty mark with another great try from their own half with Hall going over.

As if the skills of the Crusaders was not enough they got another try this time they went with their forwards to drive from the lineout.

With a lead of 57-12 the Chiefs hit back with two quick tries showing that they can play with ball in hand to reduce the lead to 57-28.
